In One Punch Man Chapter 144, the tank toppers and other heroes work tirelessly to rescue civilians…

…and the injured, loading them onto a chinook for medical attention.

Pig God’s sudden appearance surprises Mumen Rider as he disgorges the rescued people, urging for immediate medical aid.

Despite their injuries, one civilian lashes out at Pig God, who reassures them that victory is possible thanks to Tank-top Master’s efforts.

As Pig God delivers a message of hope to the tank toppers, he rushes back to the frontline, leaving Mumen Rider and the others behind to continue the rescue mission.

However, the situation remains dire as Fuhrer Ugly stands menacingly over Tatsumaki’s unconscious body, with Gums behind him.

Bang intervenes, swiftly incapacitating Gums and rescuing Tank-top Master, while Genos follows up by incinerating Gums from within.

Fuhrer Ugly retaliates with a devastating punch, but Bang deflects it, causing Fuhrer Ugly to inadvertently strike Gums.

As Genos and Bang make their escape with Tatsumaki and Tank-top Master, Gums devours Fuhrer Ugly.
