In One Punch Man Chapter 196, Flashy Flash confronts Blast about his ongoing battle with “God,” with…
…Saitama and Manako standing nearby.
Blast sternly advises Flashy Flash against joining the fray, prompting Saitama to inquire about the reasoning behind Blast’s decision.
Reflecting on his past, Flashy Flash reminisces about his childhood in a hidden village nestled deep within the mountains, where he first encountered “That Man” and a mysterious recovery device.
Expressing his determination to assist in confronting the village assassins linked to “That Man,” Flashy Flash is rebuffed by Blast, who reveals the unsettling truth about “That Man,” also known as Empty Void, and his subsequent subjugation by God.
Shocked by Blast’s revelations, Flashy Flash resolves to seek out God himself, asserting his independence from Blast’s influence.
Their conversation is interrupted by an experiment overseen by Sitch, where monsters are subjected to electric shocks, leading to their collapse.
Despite the monsters’ pleas to continue the experiment, Blast and the others discuss the possibility of restoring Empty Void to his human form and devising a plan to capture him.
All of a sudden, Blast notices an imminent threat. As Blast activates his powers, the entire Hero Association base is enveloped in a sphere, trapping it within a black hole.
Two approaching cars witness the sudden disappearance of the Hero Association base, leaving behind only smoke and a massive crater at the center.
Moments later, unseen forces slash the ground, converging on the spot where the base once stood.
The base suddenly reappears out of nowhere due to Blast’s powers. Also, a tiny black hole forms on the rooftops, from which Blast, Flashy Flash, Saitama, Manako, and Sitch emerge.
Examining the devastation caused by Empty Void’s “Dimension Blade” attack, Flashy Flash and Sitch express surprise. Blast asserts his readiness to confront Empty Void as Saitama notices Tatsumaki approaching nearby.
